You get what you put in. That's what I've learned throughout my years navigating fitness. I've been morbidly obese, anorexic, bulimic, orthorexic, depressed, you name it. But yet, despite all that adversity, I never gave up. I pushed through until I finally got it right. I graduated at the top of my class from Ohio University with a 4.0 GPA, earning my Bachelor's of Science in Exercise in Physiology with a minor in Nutrition Science, lost over 125lbs., and have kept it off for over 10 years.

When going through any journey in life, situations will arise that will either force you to level up and develop a sense of resiliency, or cause you to crumble and become resentful.

My clients and I chose the first option of resiliency. What will you choose?

  • Whether you’re looking to improve your health or get in shape to compete, online coaching can be a great option for you. I work with clients to assess their needs, design a nutrition and training program to help them achieve their goals, and provide direction and feedback on a weekly basis to ensure their progression.

    Communication is online via email. We formally check-in once a week, but of course, you’re able to reach out and ask questions any days of the week.

    Your programming is online as well and is shared with me via Google Drive. No need for complicated apps that puts a barrier between us!

  • I work with many different clients, from an aspiring men’s classic physique competitor, to a new mom who has PCOS and wants to get healthy for her family.

    Regardless of their background, they all share one unique trait. They want to become better and invest in themselves to create the future they want.

    I work with hard working people who want to try their best to become the best version of themselves.

    Whether you’re a new bikini competitor, seasoned bodybuilder, simply wanting to improve your health, there is a place for you here!

  • Your health will be my top priority. I work alongside you to help you achieve the goal you have set out for yourself.

    You should expect custom and detailed programming, thorough explanations of protocols and education, and prompt responses to check-ins, training videos, and questions.

    I am always working with a mentor, taking classes, or increasing my knowledge and expertise.

    I lead by example.

  • I expect you to show up for yourself and to communicate. We work together as a team to get you to where you want to go. That includes communicating your short-comings and struggles so I can help you through them!

    You should be engaged and immersed in this experience.

    Ask questions, check-in on time, have realistic expectations when it comes to your goals, and to trust the process (including me).

  • I won’t physically be training you in person, but I do have my clients film their exercises and send them to me so I can look over their form and intensity to ensure they’re lifting safe and progressing.

    If you’re local to the Charleston area, I do train in-person at U-Flex Fitness in North Charleston.

  • My prices are middle of the road. The difference between coaching with me versus a bigger team is quality of care. I don’t have a roster of 120 athletes, you won’t receive an email that simply says “no changes”. I keep my roster smaller to improve the quality of care that I provide and get better results. You’re not just another number here, you’re a person.

  • Of course! The monthly coaching obligation will be fulfilled with the current offering purchased, then upgraded when it is time to re-new. Be sure to cancel your current subscription and then re-subscribe to the coaching care that best suits your needs.

  • Subscriptions are through PayPal, so you can log into your PayPal account and cancel your subscriptions there. Please also send me an email at coach.ash.marcum@gmail.com to let me know of your cancellation so we can make sure things are all set.

  • My competitive and coaching experience is rooted in the NPC/IFBB federation.

    I do work with enhanced athletes and athletes with complex health issues (Hashimoto’s, etc.).
